Learn how to tie these 24 kinds of shoelaces. It's easy to wear them!

Release time:2020-05-29 Source:Guangzhou hongyi weaving and ribbon clothing co. LTD

Today, I'd like to share with you the tying methods of shoelaces. I'll teach you 24 tying methods of shoelaces at one time. How can beautiful shoes not be carried with beautiful tie? If you want to tie beautiful shoelaces and keep changing patterns, please learn something quickly.

24 kinds of laces 1-3
1. Cross method:
1. Put the shoe head straight in from the bottom (gray part) and put it out from the bottom of each shoe hole.
2. Cross the shoe head, and then put them through the other two holes.
3. Repeat the process until the laces come out of the top two holes.
Evaluation: whether the traditional simple comfort is wrinkled
Note: it is the most popular method of comfortable tying, mainly because the crossing part of the laces is just in the groove between the upper of both sides, so it will not be squeezed to the foot surface.
2. Upper and lower system method:
1. Put the shoe head straight in from the bottom (gray part) and out from the top of each shoe hole.
2. The laces shall be crossed from the bottom and put out from the second pair of shoe holes from the bottom up, then crossed from the top and then inserted into the third pair of shoe holes.
3. Repeat the process until the laces come out of the top two holes.
Evaluation: less wear and tear for decoration convenience
Note: if the shoe holes are odd pairs (as shown in Figure 7 on the left = 14 holes), the laces should be worn from the bottom (gray part) to the bottom, so as to ensure that the laces are crossed below when they are worn to the top pair of shoe holes.
3. Straight system method (European formula) method:
1. put the head of shoes from the bottom (gray part) to the two holes at the bottom.
2. One end of the shoelace (yellow end) is diagonally threaded from bottom to top and straight into the other shoe hole of the second horizontal row.
3. The other end (blue end) of Hongyi shoelace is diagonally pierced from the third row of shoe holes from bottom to top and straight into the other shoe hole.
4. Repeat the operation, and the two shoe heads shall be carried out alternately. Evaluation: the surface of the short shoe head is flat and the bottom is messy
Note: when the gap between the two sides of the upper which need to be tied together is too large, the disorder of the lower part of the shoelace is obvious (as shown in the left figure). Although it looks messy, the crisscross makes the laces taut and reassuring.
Recommendation: it is recommended that the straight system method be used for military purposes. On the one hand, because of its safety, on the other hand, when the foot is injured, the straight part of the shoelace can be cut quickly by using a knife or scissors to take off the boots. However, it is said that the US Army, which has strict regulations on everything, made the following statement on their standard black leather combat boots: "military boots should be tied diagonally with black laces, and the extra long part should be tucked into the top of the boots under the loose pants or wrapped around the top of the boots. "In this way, the straight tie law (European style) is at least against the regulations of the US Army. It is suggested that military personnel check and adopt this law, or other informal tie law.

24 kinds of laces 4-6
4. Flat and straight system (popular) method:
1. put the head of shoes from the bottom (gray part) to the two holes at the bottom.
2. One end of the shoelace (yellow end) is threaded from bottom to top along the right side and straight into the other shoe hole of the second horizontal row.
3. Then put the two heads of the shoelace through a shoe hole on the left side.
4. Continue to cross the two ends of the laces, and then pull them out in two directions again until one end of the laces passes through the uppermost hole.
5. Put the other end of the laces into the last two rows of shoe holes horizontally, and then put them straight and upward from the uppermost shoe holes. Evaluation: the most beautiful slight difficulty is only applicable to even pairs of shoe holes (for example: 6 pairs, 8 pairs)
Note: this method can only be used for shoes with even pairs of holes, and it can also break through this limitation, as shown in the left figure (the top row of holes left blank). Here are some other workarounds.
Workaround for odd pairs of holes:
Although the straight tie method (popular type) is only applicable to even pairs of shoes (such as: 6 pairs = 12 holes), its use is still very popular. It is said that this method is required for shoes and low top boots (except combat boots) of the Canadian air force. It's no wonder that many people try their best to tie shoes with odd pairs of holes (for example, 7 pairs = 14 holes). Here are some examples:
An alternative to odd pairs of holes - 1 ---- skip a row of holes: the easiest way is not to wear the top or bottom row of holes. Use even pairs of holes to break through the limit of odd pairs. Of course, you can also skip the middle row of shoe holes, so that the laces are divided into two parts.
An alternative to odd number of shoe holes - 2 ---- oblique wear: use oblique wear once at the bottom or top. Of course, if it's on the top, it's hidden because of the curvature and the lead. When wearing at the bottom, it can wrap around the inside of the tongue, which is beautiful, but the foot surface will have slight discomfort
An alternative to odd number of holes - 3 ---- cutting the laces:
The shoelace can be cut in the middle of the oblique wearing part, and the shoelace head can be knotted, or the shoelace buckle can be used, and then the shoelace can be stuffed in the upper. But the obvious consequence of this is a slight discomfort on the feet
An alternative to odd number of shoe holes - 4 ---- Double Wear:
This unconventional method is to put the laces on the bottom of the last two rows of holes across twice. As it is close to the sole, and the shoes will not be opened to this position generally, the problem of over fastening the shoes is not obvious.

5. Flat and straight method (lazy type) method:2. One end of the lace head (blue end) is pierced from the uppermost lace hole along the left side all the way up. The method is to tie the laces with the inclined part toward the loose part of the shoes. For example, if the left front (small toe) of the left foot shoe feels a little loose, when tying the laces, the inclined part will point in that direction, and after binding, the left side of the shoe will retract backward and inward, so that the shoe effectively produces a little "deformation" to the right. Of course, the left and right shoes should be tied in reverse (mirror operation) to make the appearance and efficacy of the two shoes consistent.
24 kinds of laces 7-9

1. put the head of shoes from the bottom (gray part) to the two holes at the bottom.
2. One end of the lace head (blue end) is pierced from the uppermost lace hole along the left side all the way up.
3. The other end of the shoelace (yellow end) is straight up along the right side from the second row of shoe holes.
4. Pass the same end (yellow end) up and back through the remaining shoe holes.
Evaluation: the most beautiful is only applicable to even pairs of shoes (such as: 6 pairs = 12 holes) with lace head length adjustment
Note: this method is limited to shoes with even pairs of holes (for example: 6 pairs = 12 holes). The example on the left is a breakthrough and modification for odd pairs of shoes (such as: 7 pairs = 14 holes).
6. Sawtooth method:
1. put the head of shoes from the bottom (gray part) to the two holes at the bottom.
2. One end of the shoelace (yellow end) is straight up along the right side and horizontally through the second row of shoe holes.
3. Skip the second row of shoe holes at the other end of the laces (blue end) and wear them obliquely from the bottom and out from the third row of shoe holes on the right side.
4. Continue to pass the two shoe heads up through the shoe holes until one end (yellow head in the legend) passes through the top shoe hole on the right.
5. The other end of the shoelace (blue end in the legend) is straight up along the left side and goes through the uppermost hole on the left side.
Evaluation: easy to bind both sides, easy to deviate, suitable for correction
Application of sawtooth system method:
This method may be easier to tie than other flat methods because the flat part of the surface is pulled in the same direction. However, because the lower part of the cable is pulled in the same direction, the two sides of the shoe are pulled out at an angle. The result of this "deformation" may be used to correct shoes that don't fit.
7. Method of shoemaking:
1. put the head of shoes from the bottom (gray part) to the two holes at the bottom.
2. Pull the left end (blue end) of the laces diagonally all the way to the top shoe hole on the right and wear them out.
3. The right end (yellow end) of the laces is zigzag through the remaining holes.
Evaluation: lazy tying reduces the remaining length of the shoe head
Note: the left and right shoes can be tied in the opposite direction (mirror operation), so as to look symmetrical at the end.
It is said that the shoemaking method is recommended by the British army. "It's easy to tie and knot when you need to start quickly in cold weather!" like other straight tying methods, when your foot is injured, you can cut the laces quickly with a knife or scissors to take off your boots.
8. The method of showing shoe tie is also called "Triathlon T1 tie method":
1. Put the shoe head straight from the bottom (gray part) to the two holes at the bottom of the shoe.
2. Cross the shoe head and put it into the second row of shoe holes again.
3. Repeat this process until the laces are inserted into the top two shoe holes (from the inside of the shoe).
Evaluation: neat appearance, easy to untie, hard to fasten
Note: because the fingers are easy to reach in and pull down from under the laces at the top of the shoes, this tying method is easier to untie, and the cross is also easier to tie. Triathlon athletes need to take off their shoes in the competition to save more time.
9. Rope ladder method:
1. Put the shoe head straight from the bottom (gray part) to the bottom of the two shoe holes.
2. Put the two ends of the shoelace in the second row of holes.
3. Before putting the laces up into the next row of holes, cross the laces and put them under the laces on the other side of the vertical direction.
4. In the uppermost shoe hole, the two shoe heads cross again and pass through from the bottom of the vertical part, and then tie tightly.
Evaluation: it is difficult to fasten the head of shoes with shorter neatness and decoration
Note: this method is very interesting in both ordinary shoes and sports shoes, but it is more effective especially in high waist boots with many holes (especially when using contrasting laces).

24 kinds of laces 10-11
10. Double posterior method:
1. Put the laces straight through the holes (gray part) in the second row above.
2. Cross the two ends of the laces, skip the third row of shoe holes and put them into the fourth row of shoe holes.
3. Continue down and pass through two rows of shoe holes at the same time.
4. After putting on the bottom two shoe holes, put them up and then through the spare shoe holes.
Evaluation: it's hard to tie the remaining laces shorter and tighter
11. Bow tie method
method:
1. put the head of shoes from the bottom (gray part) to the two holes at the bottom.
2. Wear the laces from the inside up (dotted line part) to the next row of shoe holes, leaving a "gap".
3. After the laces are crossed on the top, put them into the next row of shoe holes.
4. Continue to wear it upward, straight inside, and cross it above.
Comment: the rest of the laces are longer and comfortable, and the "vamp area" is loose
Note: in addition to leaving a gap in each pair of rows, you can also choose the lace up position according to the part to be tied (as shown in the figure), so as to give more "breathing space" to the foot
12. Double helix method:
1. Starting from the bottom, the left (blue) end of the laces is penetrated from the left shoe hole from the bottom up, while the right (yellow) end is penetrated from the right shoe hole from the top down.
2. The left (blue) end is penetrated into the second row of shoe holes on the right, while the right (yellow) end is penetrated from the bottom to the top from the second row of shoe holes on the left.
3. Repeat the process in a double spiral fashion until the two ends of the laces come out of the uppermost holes.
Evaluation: uneven decoration convenience
Note: the left and right shoes can be tied in the opposite direction (mirror operation), so as to look symmetrical at the end.

Application of double helix method:
The idea of this method is to reduce the friction between the laces and the upper edge. In addition, the friction of the overlapping part of the laces can be ignored, and the friction is reduced more. Two adjacent sets of laces can be pulled at the same time, which makes it easier and faster to tie and relax.

3. Cross again, and then go down from the third row of shoe holes. If you must use this method on shoes with 7 pairs (14) of shoe holes, you can simply ignore the top or bottom row of shoe holes, and use this method on the remaining 6 pairs of shoe holes, as shown in the sports shoes on the left. For shoes with 8 pairs or more holes, you can choose to cross the remaining holes.
24 kinds of lace tying methods 16 - 18
16. Zipper fastening

24 kinds of laces 13-15
13. Double crossing method:
1. put the head of shoes from the bottom (gray part) to the two holes at the bottom.
2. Skip the two rows of shoe holes, cross them and wear them out from the fourth row.
3. Cross again, and then go down from the third row of shoe holes.
4. Continue to wear it up, cross it first and then wear it up to the third row of shoe holes. Finally, cross it and put it through the uppermost hole.
Evaluation: if the decoration is not easy to tie tightly, it is difficult to tie tightly
Note: this method is best seen on shoes with even pairs of holes (for example: 8 pairs = 16 holes). If this method is used for a pair of shoes with 7 pairs of holes, then it is not necessary to skip the holes in the second row at the bottom. This will make the last part of the laces wear at a slightly different angle. Of course, you can choose to do this at the beginning or the end. You can also make a standard crossing on it.
If the shoes are even pairs of holes, this method can be used at both the upper and lower ends to avoid spare holes.
This system can also be worn into a complex fringe type, as shown in the left figure. Although it looks cool, it's hard to tie or relax. Low rise shoes and sneakers (as shown in the figure) can be taken off without moving the tied part inside.
14. Hash method:
1. Put the shoe head straight in from the bottom (gray part) and put it out from the bottom of each shoe hole.
2. Skip two rows of shoe holes, cross them and put them into the fourth row.
3. Then the two ends of the shoelace shall be straight down through the third row of holes.
4. Continue to wear it up, walk up three rows after crossing each time, and then come back to wear it out from the next row of shoe holes.
Evaluation: the remaining decorative laces are shorter and harder to fasten
Note: this method is best seen on shoes with even pairs of holes (for example: 8 pairs = 16 holes). If this method is used for a pair of shoes with 7 pairs of holes, then it is not necessary to skip the holes in the second row at the bottom. This will make the last part of the laces wear at a slightly different angle. Of course, you can choose to do this at the beginning or at the end (as shown on the left).
If there are even pairs of shoes with holes, this method can be used at both the upper and lower ends to avoid spare holes.
15. Lattice method:
1. Put the shoe head straight in from the bottom (gray part) and put it out from the bottom of each shoe hole.
2. Skip two rows of shoe holes, cross them and put them into the fourth row.
3. Then, the two ends of the shoelace jump vertically and downward through the second row of shoe holes.
4. Repeat the second and third steps, put in the fifth row of shoe holes, and then put it straight down from the third row of shoe holes.
5. After crossing, it is completed by piercing through the uppermost shoe hole.
Evaluation: the decorative remaining shoelaces are shorter and not easy to fasten, only suitable for 6 pairs of shoes with holes
Note: this method is only applicable to 6 pairs (12) of shoes with holes. However, if the shoes just have 11 pairs (22) of holes, you can repeat the operation immediately after the first grid tie, and you can wear a double grid style.
If you must use this method on shoes with 7 pairs (14) of shoe holes, you can simply ignore the top or bottom row of shoe holes, and use this method on the remaining 6 pairs of shoe holes, as shown in the sports shoes on the left. For shoes with 8 pairs or more holes, you can choose to cross the remaining holes.
method:
1. Put the shoe head straight in from the bottom (gray part) and put it out from the bottom of each shoe hole.
2. The laces are looped back in the upper.
3. The two shoe heads cross each other, and then wear them from the bottom to the next row of shoe holes.
4. Repeat the process until both ends are put into the uppermost shoe hole. Evaluation: the decoration performance is very strong and hard to fasten
17. Method of wearing Horse Boots:
17. Method of horse shoe tying: 18. Method of one hand tying:
1. Take a shoelace that is shorter than the normal shoelace, and tie a knot at one end.
2. Thread the untwisted end through the uppermost right shoe hole, and pull it until the knot is blocked by the shoe hole.
3. Wear the "Zhi" shape of the laces to the bottom with the method of shoe store.
4. The loose end (blue) can be easily tucked under the laces to prevent loosening.
method:
1. Wear the laces obliquely (gray part), with two ends through the shoe holes at the lower left and upper right respectively.
2. The upper (blue) end of the laces is in the shape of "Zhi" in the "shoe shop method" from the top to the middle of the shoe hole.
3. The lower (yellow) end of the laces is also in the shape of "Zhi" in the "shoe shop method" from the bottom to the middle of the shoe hole. Evaluation: distinctive design appearance, beautiful appearance, special purpose remarks: Although the horse shoe method can be used to achieve special effects (as shown in the left figure), this method is not applicable to ordinary shoes, boots or sports shoes. This method is specially used for riding boots. The binding or unting part is just in the middle of the boots (near the ankle). That is to say, wear shoelaces from both ends, but fasten them in the middle. With this method, the two sides of the upper of such boots can be tightened together, so as to avoid exposing the diagonal part of the inner laces.
18. Single handed method:
2. If the knot is uncomfortable in the inner side of the upper, the knot can be put outside the upper right shoe hole from the outside in. As shown above.
24 kinds of laces 19-21
19. Segment method:
1. Each shoe uses two laces, each slightly longer than half of the original one.
2. First, put the first laces straight in from the bottom (gray part) and out from the bottom of the two shoe holes, and then put them in the middle of the shoes with the cross method.
3. Start to wear the second lace from the upper row of holes in the middle, and wear it to the top of the shoe in the same way.
Evaluation: super simple for disabled
Application of one handed method:
The principle of this method is that most of the tension of the shoes is at the top, and only a small part is at the bottom. The knot at the top blocks most of the tension, and the friction of the laces through each shoe hole is enough to prevent the bottom of the laces from slipping out. (this method is the best for shoes with small holes or wide laces).
To tighten it, just tighten it from the top down. If you are not sure, you can tie a simple knot on the loose end to the straight part of the shoelace.
Workaround:
1. The left and right shoes can be tied in the opposite direction (mirror operation), so as to look symmetrical at the end.
2. If the knot is uncomfortable in the inner side of the upper, the knot can be put outside the upper right shoe hole from the outside in. As shown above.
3. If you want to tie more tightly and safely, you can use thick shoelaces or cotton shoelaces with rough surface.

4. Continue to cross to the top. Only the tension of the upper half can be adjusted independently. At the same time, it should be noted that this method, like other straight tie methods, is only used on shoes with even pairs of shoe holes (for example, 6 pairs = 12 shoe holes). For the changes of odd pairs of shoes with holes, please refer to the flat tie method (popular) page.

24 kinds of laces 22-24
22. Two color system method:
1. Take two laces of different colors, each slightly longer than the normal laces of the shoes.
2. Cut the laces into two halves. Be careful not to move them from the middle. They should be offset by 2 to 3cm.
3. Tie the shorter section of one color (yellow in the legend) tightly with the longer section of the other color (blue in the legend), and trim the redundant part at the knot. To be on the safe side, it's better to apply some glue. The remaining two sections are made into two-color laces for the other shoe.
4. Tie and knot each "section" according to personal conditions. For example, if the foot is narrow, fasten the lower part; if the foot is wide, fasten the loose point.
Evaluation: customizable, widely used, messy appearance
Note: this page shows two sections, which can be tied into three or even four sections as required. Of course, it is not necessary to use the cross system method in the figure.
20. Knot section method:
1. Use laces slightly longer than normal ones.
2. Wear it to the middle of the shoe with the cross tie method, and grasp the tightness according to the personal situation. For example, if the foot is narrow, fasten the lower part; if the foot is wide, fasten the loose point.
3. In order to permanently maintain the tightness of the lower half of the shoe, make a "bow knot" (as shown in the figure).
4. Continue to cross to the top. Only the tension of the upper half can be adjusted independently.
Evaluation: it's not easy to use shoes widely and customizable
Note: the knot is in the most central position in the figure. You can choose to knot at a slightly higher or lower position.
21. Hidden knot tying method:
1. According to the flat tie (popular) method, the left (blue) end is slightly shorter, while the right (yellow) end is slightly longer.
2. The left (blue) end is only worn to the second upper left shoe hole and ends at the inner side of the upper.
3. The right side (yellow) is straight across the top row of shoe holes, and also ends at the inner side of the upper.
4. The two shoe heads meet at the top of the left and the second shoe hole. Carefully tie the laces here.
5. Finally, put the knot and loose part of the laces into the most comfortable place.
Evaluation: special knot is not easy to cause slight discomfort
Note: if the knots and loose parts in the shoes are uncomfortable, the knots can be arranged on the outside of the feet.
At the same time, it should be noted that this method, like other straight tie methods, is only used on shoes with even pairs of shoe holes (for example, 6 pairs = 12 shoe holes). For the changes of odd pairs of shoes with holes, please refer to the flat tie method (popular) page.

5. Use the second lace (yellow in the legend) to start from the second row at the bottom, and repeat the steps from step 2 to step 4 until the second lace has worn the remaining holes. 2. If you want to be more assured, you can operate the original straight system in the opposite direction, that is, place the loose end at the bottom. Since the tension is mainly at the top of the shoe, the lower shoe holes provide greater friction.4. Thread the long end (blue) out of the lower right shoe hole until it is blocked by the knotted connection.
5. Then tie the tie according to the straight tie method (popular style).
Evaluation: extremely strong decoration requires slight discomfort
Note: the slight discomfort caused by the laces connection can be alleviated by disposing the connection near the toe.
23. Two system method:
1. Take two laces of different colors, each of which is slightly shorter than the original one.
2. Put a shoelace (blue in the legend) straight in from the bottom and out from the bottom of the shoe hole.
3. After crossing, skip a row of shoe holes and wear them from the third row from bottom to top.
4. Continue to cross and wear upward in two rows at the same time until it reaches the top or the upper second row of shoe holes.
5. Use the second lace (yellow in the legend) to start from the second row at the bottom, and repeat the steps from step 2 to step 4 until the second lace has worn the remaining holes.
Evaluation: strong decorative creativity requires additional laces
Note: if there are odd pairs of shoes with holes (for example: 7 pairs = 14 holes), then one of the laces will wear two more holes than the other. So the length of the two laces needs to be different.
24. Chessboard system method:
1. Take two pairs of laces with different colors, preferably the wide and flat ones.
2. Use one of the colors (yellow in the legend) to tie the laces with straight tie (popular style) or straight tie (lazy style).
3. Use the laces of another color (blue in the legend) to pass through the first one from the bottom up and down until it reaches the top.
4. Fold at the top of the laces, then go up and down through them until they are worn to the bottom.
5. Repeat step 3 and step 4 to continue wearing until the middle gap is full or the laces are worn.
6. Put all the long shoes into the shoes.
Evaluation: extremely decorative, easy to wear and take off (because no knot is needed), easy to loosen
Note: after this method is completed, it is a loose and elastic fabric. It is suitable for popular wide head sports shoes that do not usually need to be tied tightly. It's a bit like fashion casual shoes.
Workaround:
1. If you need to tighten a little bit, you can use wider or coarser laces to increase friction, so as to maintain the tension.
2. If you want to be more assured, you can operate the original straight system in the opposite direction, that is, place the loose end at the bottom. Since the tension is mainly at the top of the shoe, the lower shoe holes provide greater friction.
